Congressman Roy Blunt (Republican, MO 7th) signed on as a cosponsor of H.R. 1207 - "The Federal Reserve Transparency Act" to audit the Federal Reserve and determine where bailout funds have been spent (and on what terms). We cannot have any kind of functioning government if the voters, taxpayers, and just plain citizens of this country cannot find out where the money goes. H.R. 1207 is a small step, but a step in that direction.

I know a lot of people coming to this site are still rather angry at Mr. Blunt for the whole "Bailout thing," but we have to give credit where it is due. Congressman Blunt has plans to run for a Senate seat, and I believe he has finally discovered that he cannot do it without the conservatives he has alienated. So, please send a "Thank You" to his office or call (417-889-1800) and let him know that we do notice when he does something right.
